2019 NCAA Football Predictions: Preview

As we get ready to kick off the 2019 season in College Football, we should take a look at each of the Power Five conferences. We will look at where they finished last year with predictions of their records this year and who will play in the Conference Championship and possibly the playoffs in January.

Over the next few days, I will give you all a quick recap of each of the conferences. Here is the tentative schedule for the release of the articles.

August 23rd – Pacific-12 Conference

August 24th – Big XII Conference

August 25th – Big Ten Conference

August 26th – Southeastern Conference

August 27th – Atlantic Coastal Conference

August 28th – Championships/Playoffs

August 29th – Games to Watch: Week One

As you can see from the order, we are starting from the worst conference (PAC-12) and making our way up to the National Champions Clemson Tigers from the ACC.

Can the Clemson Tigers be the first to go back to back in the playoff era? How about the SEC’s top teams like the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs? Can this finally be the year that Georgia’s Kirby Smart leds his Bulldogs to a victory over Nick Saban?

How about Ohio State? With Urban Meyer leaving the team, can they continue to find themselves in the playoff picture? Or will the Michigan Wolverines and John Harbaugh finally beat the Buckeyes in the Big Ten?

Can the PAC-12 find themselves in the playoffs again? Maybe Oregon or Washington? Will Texas and Oklahoma do in the Big XII? Can Oklahoma make another run st the playoffs and get another Heisman winner for the third straight year?

Speaking of Heisman winners, I will give you my pick for the Heisman and all the championship games that will lead to the playoff schedule and who the No. 1 team will be?

So stay tuned throughout the week to find out where your alumni will finish as we head into Thursday night kickoffs between several teams. We will be missing out on two games before we complete this series of articles, but we know that Miami-Florida is going to be a good one and we’ll all be watching anyways. Let’s also pay attention to Arizona and Hawaii as they both kickoff on Saturday, August 24.
